I first bought this for the detachable mic because I wanted to use it for decent quality input on voice/video calls and Wanted to be able to keep the mic away when I'm just listening to music. Unfortunately, the sound quality is so poor when I use it for I/O that I rarely use a microphone and end up using an old webcam mic instead. Background hiss, harsh crackles/crackles, and randomly more than doubling the volume without touching any settings or buttons. My ears literally hurt after hours at the end of all these problems. I've experienced this on multiple devices with different operating systems and different programs, so I know it's not a computer/driver/program issue. In pure output (listening), the sound is perfectly fine. Given that I no longer use them for the main reason I picked this budget headset, I don't think I would buy them again. Instead, I would opt for a cheaper item that is only given out.
