As others have said, the instructions are in very small print I find because they make no sense and don't match the watch. It's good that he sets the time, but everything else is too complicated. Mine was stuck at 12:00 am for the alarm to go off. I tried to follow the instructions and then just tried to guess which buttons would set the alarm clock's time or even just turn it off due to its midnight blast. Luckily the backup battery doesn't seem to be powering anything so I was able to just unplug the watch and the sound stopped and the lights went out. In the end I just threw it away - it's overly complicated, poorly designed and the instructions are just useless. Didn't even want to waste time with a refund. Sylvania enjoys a good reputation.
