normal for a beginner, but not TTL
This set is very good for a beginner amateur photographer like me. With the remote I can turn on flashes all day with no problems. The flashes are fine, but I regret not having bought better ones with TTL capabilities. I have to shoot in full manual mode but I think it would help me learn more about lighting. There were a lot of cables in the kit that I haven't used yet. I suppose they should cause stronger breakouts, which I don't have. I haven't tried it as a remote camera shutter because my IR is much easier to use.
