I have a small dog and a cat that loves to run from the dog. I'm tired of finding my cat in random closets around the house, so I thought it was time to give her her own space. Since she is so adventurous, I chose a tree for her to move around while running away from her brother. I was curious to see which places would become their favorites and hopefully put them at ease. Although this scratching post is tall and has a variety of platforms for my cat to choose from, the quality of the materials leaves a lot to be desired. If the tree had arrived a little more assembled I might not have noticed but this item requires a lot of assembly. There are pieces that don't quite fit together and places where you have to rip through the fabric to attach the pieces. I got everything assembled but greased the elbows a bit and not quite sure how constructive it is. My cat seems to love it! She doesn't mind commodities and is genuinely grateful for the opportunity to rest. I think I'll end up attaching various toys to the pole pieces as my cat loves to destroy hers. Seems like a good first try at a scratching post for our family but I'll probably choose a different option next time.
