Neat and cheap troubleshooter!
2008 Ford Ranger Cylinder 5 misfire problem. The tool indicated that the wiring is working correctly! #5 misfire detected, caused by a faulty pigtail connector due to the hold down bracket being removed and not holding the #5 injector properly. A new plug was installed and the problem was fixed.
