Type of review

I pump DIESEL from the ground floor to the second floor (we add almost 15 feet of hose) every week at my work because we have had no power since September 20th and always still work great. It has a very good pumping capacity. Unfortunately the pump handle broke due to delivery management but we are pleased with its performance at my workplace in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.

Pros
  • It's amazing

  • Some little things

Great multi-fuel pump!

I bought it mainly because it pumps diesel and petrol for my tractor and lawn mower. About three months later the engine stopped turning and the fuses blew. I contacted Fill-Rite and they were fantastic! There was an issue with the material used in the pump itself expanding and freezing the rotor. They replaced the parts with an 'intermediate solution' they developed and later sent me a brand new pump! I highly recommend Fill-Rite! One of the best customer services I've come across.

Great Pump - Tools and Equipment

Great little diesel pump. I bought two cheaper half price pumps for the year and both failed so I went with these. Fill Rite is a big name in the fuel transfer industry so I trust their products. This pump has a built in external fuse which my other pump didn't have and that's where it blew. Burnt wires near the pump. So even if I have a power problem, the fuse should blow and save the pump. I attached it to a 30 gallon vertical steel diesel tank.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

drain hose smaller.

Overall I'm happy with the set, but there are a few things I didn't notice or mention. Pressure hose 5/8" with 3/4" connections. Suction hose 3/4" with 3/4" connections. I would prefer all 3/4" hoses. I had to replace them as the first set came with no hoses and appears to have been returned earlier. Revain sent replacements. Cam and Groove installed from another site and works great. As uses aluminum it will not react with diesel fuel and will not spark.

  • Consistent test results

Impressively powerful and well made

I spent quite a bit of time researching pumps before gritting my teeth and ordering these. I used it immediately and am very satisfied. It's really well made: great design and great materials. I haven't mentioned in other reviews that the input/output ports are configurable for different orientations, which is nice. It is very heavy, very fast and designed for gasoline, which is not suitable for many pumps. Other reviewers had issues with the impeller freezing when standing up after use, which…

Ideal portable fuel lift pump but hose will not fit 5 gallon gas can

After a much smaller fuel lift pump burned out I bought this unit. I've only used it for testing so far, but it's obvious that with all hoses and cables, there will be issues with managing, storing, keeping clean and dry. I assembled the entire assembly in a 12" x 24" x 7" aluminum box I had at the store. I also ordered an extra 10 foot section of suction hose so I had more flexibility in setup and use .Total weight of the unit in an aluminum box is 29 pounds - it's easy to transport, store and

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Minor issues

Called the support team, by the way they were very nice and helpful. I was instructed to disassemble the side of the pump (impeller cover), loosen the impeller, clean the area, apply some grease and reassemble. Success! Apparently these smaller pumps tend to have a sticky interface between the impeller and the pump wall. A NOTICE. I found another reason why the pump is stuck and the fuse is blowing. You need to make sure you have a strong power supply (12V). If you try to run this on a low or…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

  • There are other interesting options.

So far, so good. Here is my experience.

Just moved about 400 gallons of diesel fuel. Install two goldenrod filters on the suction side (one 80 mesh filter + one 17 micron water filter). From that 250 gallons he also squeezed 3 additional goldenrod filters (an 80 mesh filter + a 17 micron water cut filter + 10 micron filter). Got a video on it. 250 gallons are also pumped about 6-8 feet to the top of the gravity fed tank. I also transferred about 150 gallons from the kegs to an unraised tank. I noticed it got a lot warmer as we went…

Good replacement for cheap imported hand pumps on gas tanks

I have a 35 gallon fuel tank that I use to transfer fuel from the FBO pump to my hangar. This avoids stopping and restarting my plane and reduces engine and starter motor wear. However, the fuel tank pump was cheap, short-lived for this world in terms of durability, and too slow to hook up to a fuel meter. The RD8 pump is nearly perfect for a jerry can as it is light enough to install on an existing exhaust pipe and still allow the use of 1" or 3/4" accessories such as fuel filters and 3-speed…
