Description of 🔧 High-Performance 3/8" Black Lisle 68210 IPR Socket for Ford Diesel Engines

Use with 3/8 inch square drive. It does not put torque on the connector in case it can be reused. The product does not work on 7.3l motors.

A good option instead of a wrench.

If you run your own diesel. This is a good option instead of a wrench. You can use it with a 6" side extension to service your IPR valve.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

Doesn't fit Ford 7.3 Diesel IPR

Doesn't fit 7.3 IPR valve, just made my own out of a 1-1/8" deep socket and dropped it on the bottom of the tool box Bad description, my fault for not paying enough attention to the details

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Worked on 03 Powerstroke 6.0

Worked as intended. Best access is when the air cleaner, coolant surge tank, FICM and wiring harness are out of the way - otherwise there won't be enough leverage to disengage them. Use a 1/2" universal socket and a 6" extension for better access.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend

It worked very well. For those who work part-time as a mechanic.

Worked very well. For those part-time mechanics - to get to the IPR on 04 F250 a few other items need to be removed. I had to use a breaker to take the IPR off. This is also very important, make sure the screen (on the IPR) is either on it or put a magnet on it before inserting a new one.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not the best

Worked on a truck. so disappointed

when we bought it said it would fit for F350 with 7.3. We'll find that it doesn't fit. So wasted money on this product. Of course we will never buy anything from this company again. I noticed that they now have a small smudge saying they are not compatible. It would have been nice if it had been included in our booking. I could save some money.

Pros
  • Very good value for money

Works well. However, the insulated sleeve is a booger.

Works well. To all the negative reviews, the description says that this is for the 6.0 engine. If you are doing this for the first time, there is an insulated sleeve over the IPR that can be released with a latch (the nest will not fit on it). I could just reach it and undo the latch with my fingertips. Unable to secure it with my fingertips, I threaded a piece of stainless steel wire through it and closed it with needle nose pliers.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Other Other

If you need to replace the IPR don't think twice, just buy it . It took about 10 minutes to change the IPR. I've taken my turbo out for other repairs probably 3-4 times and I've been pretty good at it, but with this tool you don't even have to worry about it anymore. You may need to loosen the FICM to get the extra room. Either way, this thing is a lifesaver!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Something else

worth your money. Worked great.

Very specific tool for Ford 6.0 IPR valve R&R (and possibly other applications). But if you ever need it, you'll appreciate it. I'm not sure if it will stand up to professional use but it has worked great for me and I'm sure it will run as much as I need it to. Hopefully never again, but it's still in my toolbox just in case! :) If you have a Ford 6.0 and service it yourself, do yourself a favor and buy it before you need it. If you haven't had problems with the high pressure oil pump system…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Not for Ford 7.3 YPR

Matches my early 2003 Ford 6.0 perfectly. The IPR is not visible on early 2003 CA trucks with the turbocharger installed. Everything to do with removal and installation is done 100% by touch. I used a socket with a universal joint, a 6" extension and a ratchet. I also had to use a 3 foot piece of copper tubing as a bridge on the ratchet handle to break the IPR loss. After loosening the IPR, remove the socket and loosen the IPR with your fingertips, this is a very difficult part to reach the…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
