I've removed my turbo probably 3-4 times for other repairs and it worked pretty well for me but with this tool
If you need to replace the IPR don't think twice, just buy it . It took about 10 minutes to change the IPR. I've taken my turbo out for other repairs probably 3-4 times and I've been pretty good at it, but with this tool you don't even have to worry about it anymore. You may need to loosen the FICM to get the extra room. Either way, this thing is a lifesaver!
