After a much smaller fuel lift pump burned out I bought this unit. I've only used it for testing so far, but it's obvious that with all hoses and cables, there will be issues with managing, storing, keeping clean and dry. I assembled the entire assembly in a 12" x 24" x 7" aluminum box I had at the store. I also ordered an extra 10 foot section of suction hose so I had more flexibility in setup and use .Total weight of the unit in an aluminum box is 29 pounds - it's easy to transport, store and use.Update: The fitting on the end of the 3/4" suction hose will not fit a 5 gallon plastic gas bottle. I have took a barbed connector and put a 3/4"24" hose (no connector on the end) on the end of the standard suction hose and it works great in 5 gallon cans. Great pump. It drains a 5- gallon gas cylinder very quickly.
