I was researching a natural alternative to aloe vera to use as a detangler/prepa when I came across Ambuna. It offers amazing lubricity and gentle cleansing when applied directly to the scalp. The first time I used it, I followed the instructions that came with it. Loved the glide, HATE the rods lagging behind on my 4b reels. True leaves washed off with no problem, but the stem-like parts came across. It wasn't much, but it took some time and effort to safely remove without breaking. The second time I used it, I strained the leaves. However, there were pretty good results, except for the barrel bits. In my experience, it doesn't moisturize my hair as much as aloe vera, but it detangles my hair very well overall.
