I have to admit that I was a bit apprehensive about buying a camera without user reviews. I made my choice and it got to me today. I bought a camera to try and find a heating wire in the ceiling of my house so we can control the lights in a couple of rooms. As you probably guessed, screwing a screw into the heating element would be a disaster. I set everything up on my phone and then turned on the heating. The moment I pointed the thermal imager at the ceiling, the elements of direction were visible. Hooray! I know that doors and windows are also a source of heat leaks, so I pointed to the front door. Looks like I need to replace the gasket on the underside of the door. :( The accompanying Android software is fine. While it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a FLIR branded camera, it has more than twice the resolution and gets the job done. The app seems a bit buggy, but I managed it use it to capture the images I've attached to this review.
