Terrible quality! Sure, my kid is tough on shoes, but these shoes didn't last a month if worn occasionally (not even every day!) before they had holes in the front and toes sticking out of the mesh! The piece of rubber that is usually placed at the very front of the shoe to withstand the wear and tear of running is not present on these shoes, and instead the shape is painted on with a very thin layer of colored rubber paint that quickly began to peel off. The soles of the shoes crumble and rub off like a cheap eraser. Are these real New Balances? Is New Balances really that shitty right now? I don't know, but for $50 each, they should last more than two weeks! Very thin foam on top of flat footbed, no arch support. My kid loves the features and style of the shoe and I bought these to replace a pair with similar features (a pair of automotive style New Balance sneakers that also had the same molded double velcro strap which was easy to slip on and off ). and lasts over a year. It was a big disappointment and a waste of money, would love to find another pair of this shape that doesn't suck. My kid still wants to wear them with holes. Good, hence two stars. I'm looking for alternatives to these well known brands that have terrible quality and questionable supply chain practices that are basically overpriced junk.
