If you admit that it was the blue lights that made you buy this kettle, you'll find it easier to write a review about it. I have a very nice OXO kettle on the stovetop that heats up quickly, but it doesn't work well for pouring coffee with it and it drips all over the counter. There was only one thing left... to buy an electric glass teapot with blue LED lighting. Using this kettle satisfied my need for eclecticism and a new kitchen gadget. The only problem is that it works fine. It boils water quickly and feels solid when you pick up and pour. This also works when pouring coffee without dripping. The price was nice too. I paid around $18 and compared to models that literally look the same for twice the amount I feel I made the right decision. I really hope that it will work as well as this for several years, because I really only need one kettle. Unless they come in other colors.
