Could it be dangerous?

When my phone wasn't charging, I found that one of the charger's prongs had come loose and got stuck in the socket. I had to unplug the chain and use insulated pliers to securely grasp and remove the pin. Let's hope it was just a bad block. It had charged very efficiently a few weeks ago.
