My 15 month old loves this toy. She's a big fan of anything that sings and makes noise, so I thought this might be interesting entertainment and could keep her busy longer than a regular ball. She'll play with it and enjoy it, but probably not much more than anyone other ball. This is probably sacrilegious, but the volume of the ball may be too low (each toy should have multi-level control, at least low and high volume). I know a lot of kids love tags, but mine never showed much interest in tags, even though I bought her a few things with tags. The battery compartment is quite reliable. She hasn't figured out how to open it yet, although I suspect she will eventually.
