This is our second "scratching post" of this type. While not large. our cats of different weights like it very much. Usually one of them is dominant, which gets the highest level. usually my 14 pound beautiful short black hair. It is stable for the size of its base and has never capsized (or even seemed about to capsize when two or more cats fought on it). At the moment our youngest rescue kitten is upstairs and he is so happy. I thought this cat tree looked pretty good in our living room and looked a bit more elegant than a regular cat tree. Although many of them have more features that cats enjoy, this one is still a good buy. Anyway, I (and they) liked it so much I bought another one so we could have it in the other room.
