The seller gave me an unexpected gift of a Janome 5300QDC. I was skeptical at first because I ordered the 4300QDC-B specifically for a set of quilt tips. Luckily the 5300 also had a quilt set! These two cars are very similar. I'm changing from a Bernette 60. While I love my Bernette, I'm no longer new to quilting and want more advanced technology. This wonderfully affordable Janome has all the options I could want and more I don't even know I want! The feature that by far made the biggest difference for me was the automatic thread cutter. Save time and thread! I LOVE it too that I can see my coil and wind a new coil while the car still has fuel. While I appreciate the knee lift, I wouldn't make it a huge factor when choosing a machine. The only downside I've found so far, and I haven't used most of the features yet, is the needle threader.
