Bought because of the good reviews and price. I have a GE Smart Water System and have always used standard size carbon filters from the big box. When they say 10 inches, they mean 10 inches! Measure your old one! My old one was a size 9 and 3/4, it protruded 1/4" beyond my canister, as far as I know nobody sells "standard" 9 and 3/4 filters, I wet it and was able to disassemble it but I will certainly not buy again.
