Ok, I'm a 67-year old male who does not have pierced ears so why do I need earrings? Well for my little garden bluebird house of course. I bought the birdhouse for $2 at a Habitat for Humanity Resale Store but it was missing the hangy down things, it was probably 10 years old. So I saw these and thought . . . hey these might work. They looked like they'd catch the sun and reflect back nicely. Having never bought earrings before I didn't realize that each one had a metal backing so the sun wouldn't go through. Fortunately each pair was a mirror image so I super-glued them back-to-back, stung some wire and wallah instant sun catchers. They work great and with the extra sets of earrings I have spares if needed. Can't comment on their intended use but they worked great for me. Recommended.
