The light is covered in a very greasy and oily layer on both sides, which means it's impossible to use double-sided mounting tape, even if you clean it thoroughly. Mounting brackets are soft and squishy and nearly impossible to install. I ended up tying the lanterns to the railing. The wall plate is quite large too: it blocks both GFCI ports, and if you have a door on top of the outlet, 50x50, it will fit - I ended up having to shave some space off the door to make it fit. From the adapter to the edge of the lightstrip can be 3ft, so good luck getting where you really need it. On the other hand, after a few seconds it works fine with my smart home hub and I can control my voice so there are no complaints about the functionality. Weak during the day but we'll see when it points to us tonight. Good that there is a dimming function for the evening. I wish there was a way to switch between the colors.
