I bought this to wear with my cricket fiddle. When the suitcase extension is zipped closed, the extra material creates a nice soft cushion around the peg box. The violin is placed in a case with the chin and shoulder rests attached and the bridge protector in place. I use a short bow (23″) with my cricket and there is room in the case for it too, although I made a fleece sleeve for it to keep it from rattling. My rosin, tuner and cleaning cloth fit perfectly. There is definitely extra room around the neck of the violin and around the shoulder pad, so you can also fit a clean t-shirt and/or bottle (preferably padded) in the case.
