The product does what it should!

I purchased this plate as a replacement plate so I cannot verify this particular purchase but I can tell you the plate came with my Gemini remains indeed turned on, and one very important fact not included: twist and turn all your cymbals to reduce warping! I placed a small paper dot on a corner of each panel to keep track of where each panel should be when flipping and flipping. To see how it's done, watch the Gemini video.
