Suitable for testing HDMI cables
Glad it works. There are only two modes: all 20 lights and scrolling. I had two faulty wires running through the wall that I was trying to fix and found I needed an additional mode to be able to test individual strands. I ended up using my multimeter to identify the pins and securing the cable with a solder connector on one side. Only after that I could use this tool to check if the cable works. I wish they had the ability to pause the scroll test for individual threads. That would save me 4-5 hours of work. YMMV and good luck.
