I bought a climbing harness to replace the Bosun's chair on my mast climbing cruising catamaran. I am 6ft 3cm, 245lbs and almost 73 years old. Oh, and I hate climbing the mast. The harness is lightweight and has a metal loop for dismounting. The halyard is knotted directly to the loop. The design is great, pretty easy to set up and intuitive to use. I can stretch horizontally and I'm not afraid to stand on my head. Unlike the three traditional bosun's chairs I've used, I feel completely safe. This is the cheapest addition to the boat and replaces what I was afraid to use. I was worried it was low. The price represented the quality and honestly intended to return it if it did. I know rock climbing is a different sport, but for pole climbing it's more than perfect.
