It really shines. I was expecting a little less sparkle, but the silver coat is very pretty. Plus, it feels like real (durable) metal, not the standard aluminum you get when you buy these frames. FLORIDA residents: This matches FL license plates. All you have to do is match the top right side of the frame to the number in your tag. Not so hot what's up. I heard it doesn't work with CA or some state license plates, but it does work with FL license plates/tags. I'm not giving 5 stars because I'm not 100% thrilled with it. The overall design of the teeth went too far, and when you look from afar it's hard to understand what it's all about at first. Removing a few teeth or making the framework less thick may help. I'm very picky so you might not mind much.
