So I just got the controller and the first thing that struck me when I got my hands on it is that it doesn't look like the original factory version, it's light, grainy and feels feels cheap like plastic. It was a real shame but not a big deal as I just needed a new controller. What I noticed is that the spring in the controller always seems to bend at an awkward angle when the batteries are inserted. I suspect it has to do with the interior as it's a bit roomier than the factory model. Because of this, the controller had an odd range and wasn't as responsive. I tried different batteries just to be sure but the problem persisted. Fortunately, after I reopened it and manually lowered the spring so it was at the correct angle, the problem was resolved. That's a little untrue, but ultimately the controller works fine. Which, after all, is the most important part. So if you're looking for a cheap buy it's worth it, but if you want a nice smooth copy like the original you'll have to go for the more expensive version.
