I don't understand how to use this compass. It doesn't have a rotating dial, which is fine. But without it I don't understand how to use it. When I look north, the red pointer is pointing north. If I look south, the red pointer is pointing south. However, if I'm looking west, the red pointer is pointing east, and if I'm looking east, the red pointer is pointing west. North and South coincide. East and West seem to be reversed. Maybe I'm not reading correctly. I would like an idea how to use this compass.
