I have a Kawasaki ZX6-R 636 from 2004. Anyone who knows about motorcycles knows that it is a sport bike and with these bikes you can have a lot of fun at the expense of tiring different parts of the body. In my case, my right hand was so numb that I had trouble holding the gas. I decided to install cruise control on my bike so my arm could rest here and there, which made long rides more bearable. ). When I arrived, I strapped on my bike and went for a 200 mile ride the next day. This device worked great when it worked. I first set my bike up to 60mph and it worked like clockwork. I was sold but the next few times I tried to use it on the same ride I encountered different issues each time I got tired of adjusting it, it held speed for a moment and then my speed started slowly dropping 1 mph at a time for 10-15 seconds. I thought maybe it wasn't tight enough, try tightening it, no change, then I decided to remove the rubber ring that came with the kit and put it directly on my grip, same story. I keep breathing in to the point where I was worried it would be too tight and I wouldn't be able to release it in time if I had to slow down or stop. I've come to the conclusion that the problem lies in the vibrations. There's no rubber on the bottom of the cruise control to absorb it, so it's slowly starting to loosen. Another problem I found is that you have to use your thumb to engage the cruise control. There is a very small part at the end to push it forward with your thumb, making it difficult when you tighten it fairly tight. It would be better if it was a bit bigger like the Omni Cruise. After all, this product did a part job for me. I've tried returning it and using the Omni Crusie but I don't want to pay for return shipping so I'll probably keep it and improve it myself, hopefully it gets better.
