I installed this on my truck and everything seemed fine at first. I began noticing that the mirror was getting very hot. Touches of the device are also hot. After a while I noticed that the front camera started behaving strangely, not exactly wavy, but not right. I installed the cable set which is fine but in my truck the extra point I get the signal from gets disconnected again when I start. . This disables mirror (or monitor mode, depending on your preference). Sometimes after starting the truck it doesn't fully turn on and I have to tap the mirror to turn the display back on. I don't think this will be a problem. I found a spot where the power is turned on with the key and stays on throughout the boot process. Time-lapse mode and display off (normal and expected). The truck sat in the sun for several hours. When I came back the mirror was on and in standby (reverse) even though it was still in park. When I touched the mirror it was hot. Turning on the ignition brought it back to the desired state. Overall, the display looks good, but I think it's poorly designed. Works too hot, soon doomed. However, I'll see how long it really lasts.
