works fine if you follow the chart. cozy. The padding is thinner/lighter than my shorts but still adequate. Maybe not much for a true beginner but once you get used to the bike seat a bit they are perfect and much more comfortable than heavily padded shorts. They are nice and cool on hot days. a bar for a beer after a trip because they fit like regular shorts.
