Poor quality, poor design, shoddy workmanship
The 3/8 "male" screw either doesn't fit the intended female thread or wobbles even when fully inserted. Male thread connectors only have 3 threads, which is not enough to securely attach the device, especially given the decrepitude of female to female adapters. They are made of a very soft (and surprisingly light) material.
