Dead on arrival (horrible customer service)

I usually like Alienware products and was looking forward to adding this monitor to my setup, but when I connected the monitor to the GPU and the outlet a few things happened: 1. The monitor got power but the screen was DEAD2. My computer recognized the second monitor. --------- I've tried turning the device on and off, swapping plugs, and using different cables to no avail. Then I contacted Dell support, waited half an hour for someone to answer the call and said I had to wait 3 more hours. I agreed to wait and was abruptly cut off. I took a chance with so few reviews but most were positive. but it's a new monitor, I think I drew the unfortunate straw. I'll try to get a replacement and I'll update if the new one works. I would be very CAREFUL to buy this.
