Review on Calphalon Activesense Blender: Blend-N-Go Cup & Powerful Performance in Dark Stainless Steel by Jennifer Hartley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fortunately, desktop mixers are on sale

I don't know where to start but this blender shouldn't be as powerful as advertised. My Cuisinart 5+ hand blender handled my regular post-run smoothie better than this blender. I have to keep pouring the smoothie into the cup and then back into the blender after it inevitably stops blending. This then allows the mixing to continue until complete. And when you finally want to pour it, because of the square shape, it's scattered all over the place. Good luck pouring your smoothie into the included leak-proof cup! I used to have a smoothie in 5 minutes with my old blender. With this underpowered automated junk, it now takes over 10 minutes to make smoothies as it's all hand pulsed, poured and mixed to get the blender up and running. Luckily this thing was the subject of a Treasure Truck sale as I would have been even more annoyed to pay full price for less power than my old blender.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
