I bought this Yamaha NS-SW300 subwoofer to replace a reference Klipsch subwoofer whose electronics failed after 3 years. Yamaha sells for 1/2 the Klipsch price list. Klipsch and Yamaha subwoofers were connected to a Yamaha YSP-5600 receiver/soundbar via an RCA audio cable, using the LFE connector on the subwoofer. In every test I tried, the Yamaha delivered more accurate bass sound. From deep vocal resonances to the roar of hot rods and motorcycles to the growl of space combat engines and the deep bass of the music, the sound was clearer, more in sync with other channels on the soundtrack, and more powerful than Klipsch when the signal called for booming bass. I am very impressed with this achievement; and I have far more confidence in the reliability of Yamaha products than I do with Klipsch.
