Good way to travel with stuffed eggs. This is a compact and durable container that is easy to clean. However, I was very disappointed with the cumbersome handling. The container is about 3-1/2" deep and has 12 egg-shaped wells in the bottom. I placed 1/2 of a hard-boiled egg white in each well, then added 1 tablespoon of the egg yolk mixture to each well. Even if you were very careful, the egg mixture spilled out so it was messy. Scattering paprika on top of the egg was messy too. The top layer was easier as you could take the tray out of the box and then put it back in the box once the egg white was filled. Once at the destination, getting the top layer out of the box was another challenge as there are two finger holes on each side of the tray which are quite small and make it difficult to get your fingers through the holes. Tipped a couple of times the tray to one side before I could get a good steady grip and lift the tray.I used tongs to place the eggs on the plate.The final task was this to take the bottom row of eggs out of the box. The tongs were helpful, but sometimes the egg would crush when I tried to pry the eggs out of the indentations. I would not recommend this item for stuffed eggs. Carrying hard-boiled eggs would be very useful for this: there are 12 notches on the bottom of the box and 12 more on the removable tray on top. I was hoping this would become a staple in my kitchen but, unfortunately, it isn't.
