Review on Downright Cascada Luxury White Comforter by Brett Robinson

I am very happy with this duvet. It replaces a 20 year old comforter and I hope it lasts about as long as this one. The build quality is excellent. The seams look tight. My feathers haven't come out yet and I've been using it for about a month. This duvet is designed for year-round use. In the summer I keep my house at 74 degrees at night. I think this blanket is too heavy for 74 degrees. In the cooler months I keep the temperature around 68 degrees at night and find this blanket perfect for that temperature. The blanket itself has a nice weight and is nice to snuggle up in. I immediately bought a cotton duvet cover to use with this comforter. I also use a thin blanket and put this blanket on top. It keeps me warm The only problem I had with this comforter was that it had a very strong smell for several weeks. I was surprised it took so long to dissolve but the smell eventually dissipated. This duvet is RDS certified, which means geese that produce down are treated ethically. These geese should not be force-fed or plucked while they are alive. This is one of the best certifications currently available. All geese used to create RDS down products are slaughtered, so synthetic products are the best option for people who are uncomfortable with harvesting goose down. Although this blanket is expensive I think it's worth it given the RDS certification. I can only recommend it and hope to use it for many years.
