The bombs arrived in a box with more than enough padding to keep them from breaking and making a mess in the box. Not to mention that each bomb was individually wrapped. Each bomb was sized to fit in the palm of my hand. Unlike some bath bombs I've bought in the past, they didn't dissipate immediately but took some time. I bought these for my kids and always supervised when they used them. Not only did they hiss like they should, but as soon as they disappeared, a little toy appeared that my kids loved very much. The bombs had a slight odor and it wasn't strong or overpowering. Not to mention, no matter what color we put in the bathroom, it never stains her skin. Not to mention it didn't leave any messy residue in my tub. Even though we've had them for almost 2 months, we still have a few bombs left. If I were to give them to a child I would say that the form they arrived in would make ideal gifts.
