The metal sleeve on the hose ends is supplied separately and can be attached to the rubber hose. The first time I tried turning the water on, the water pressure disconnected the coupler from the hose and the hose came off the nozzle. Our water pressure is nothing special - the usual external tube for a hose. I tried a few more times and the hose wouldn't stay on the metal end, so it wouldn't stay attached to the spigot. Completely useless. I wanted to return it but I've waited too long so I'll just throw it away now.
