I ordered these on a friend's recommendation and thought they were good at first. 8 lighting settings, 4 brightness settings, the remote control is fine (you really need to point it at the control box). However, on my first night with them, I noticed that after I turned the lights off, the LEDs still gave off a faint glow. it never resolved itself until I eventually unplugged it. To me, that means not only are the lights constantly drawing power, but they also can't be turned off completely with the remote control.
