First, note that this pan measures top to top and the sides of the drain hole slope slightly up and down from bottom to top. Our laundry center measures approximately 27 inches on the sides and 28-1/2 inches front to back, and it measures approximately 1 inch on the sides and 1/2 inch front and back. You can also raise or chock your laundry center's legs so the bottom of the machine can eliminate the top of the drain pain, giving you a little extra room if needed (this can make your machine less stable and more prone to vibration). . per spin - but most things in life come with compromises). While the outer edges of the laundry center enclosure (cover) may be slightly outside of the drain hole when the machine is lifted, most leaks occur inside the laundry center enclosure itself. Although the plastic drain pan is made of flexible plastic, the construction seems sturdy enough for the purpose. I was able to tip the back of the wash center, slide the drain pan underneath, and then slide the machine back into the tub (leaning the back of the tub against something hard so you can press on it helps). I've moved this setup several times and only had one issue - the drain line. This drain pan comes with a sealed 1-1/2" PVC fitting (you will need to cut a hole in the bottom of the pan. Install drain) that allows you to connect a drip pan to a drain - the pan itself only holds about 7 gallons of water, and a typical laundry center holds at least twice that. If all the water comes out of your laundry center, no drain pan without an external drain can hold all of the water. Luckily we have a 2-1/2" in the back of our linen closet -Middle Drain Unfortunately we had to remove the panel for the main drain to allow the sump drain to fit in. This means we have to tilt the machine forward until the drain line clears the main drain before we can pull the machine out of the service closet. This will be a rare occurrence for most people so shouldn't be too much of a hassle I would prefer the 1/2" sump drain is flush with the bottom of the sump and doesn't protrude from the bottom of the sump - I can fix this with a hacksaw if I need to move the machine again. Hopefully that doesn't happen unless the machine overflows again (twice in 13 years - too often!). Bottom line - I would give 5 stars if the inside dimensions were shown (or easy to find online). and the sump drain could be flush with the bottom of the sump.
