This thing is SMALL. It is "8 inches" including the knot. However, ties usually do not include a knot when calculating the length. My son is only 3 years old and it was too young for him. It would be good for a toddler up to 12 months. For comparison, I have it next to the baby mask - these are the smallest possible face masks that are allowed and the ones given out to babies in hospitals. So you can see the tie is very small.
