We bought this DVD player to use progressive scan on our Mitsubishi Diamond Series 65 inch HDTV projection TV. For the price you pay, this DVD player is a great buy! We compared the player to other DVD players including Toshiba SD 5109 and JVC 723GD. It was a little blurrier compared to Toshiba's Pioneer models, but that was only after we switched the input picture back on our TV, meaning you probably won't notice the difference unless you decide to look for it the difference (very small in my opinion) is really worth the big $$$ difference.
