Also the CD/instructions that come with it are NOT easy to use and 'user friendly'

I open the product and it says it will press any button and it will turn it on - AND IT DON'T PLUG IN - I plug it in the computer's USB port to port and it reads -PC (and nothing else). Also, the accompanying CD/instructions are NOT simple and "user friendly". Confused - not so easy.
