Review on Enhance Ventilation in Your Toyota with TYC 700249 Replacement Blower Assembly by Leslie Matlak

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Don't wait for it to stop completely! 20 minutes work.

Very easy installation. The hardest part is the position; I had to lie on my back. Make sure you have the tools and new parts. Torx screws are not needed as this is also an 8mm socket; thanks toyota So easy. There is a screw behind the wire harness holder; Don't remove it, just loosen it with a Phillips screwdriver and slide it to the side. Disconnect the fan before removing. Disconnect/disconnect the two wires attached to the bracket; it's just so much easier. It's much easier to do everything before you solve something. I think it took me 15 minutes and the hardest part was just finding my tools and flashlight. The old fan didn't spin as freely. I used to have to replace the fan in my 2007 Prius; It's a 2012 Prius in Arizona, and the fan seems to be running all summer long. My initial fan slowed down; I suspect the super thick filters I used. I think they are from Toyota. Summer in Phoenix is brutal. This work is easy. You will need a Phillips screwdriver, a small set of 8mm socket wrenches, and possibly a small extension cord. I'm surprised to see a lifetime guarantee; I doubt I'll have a car long enough to handle this. I'm wondering if this is through the seller or TYC? It was almost twice the size of the 2nd generation fan but looked very similar.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • boring packaging
