I've bought several filter pitchers in the past and they feel great, but once I tried PH 9+ water I was hooked because it's silky smooth and has no 'flavor'. So there's no aftertaste or anything, it's just refreshing and really great. Since I really only drink water, aside from the occasional adult beverage, I'm picky. Tap water is just disgusting to me, no matter where it comes from! My home faucet is better than average, but not equal. Rather than buying the more expensive PH water I decided to try this one and I wasn't disappointed at all, it filters slower than the others but that's to be expected with a multi-stage filter. I think it's great that it not only filters, but also adds minerals to the water, so the PH value changes at all :) It's worth it in the long run. It's literally one of those things, once you've tried it you'll probably have a hard time coming back! I also use it in my ice cream maker. If they had a portable version I would buy them too. but I doubt you'll get very far trying to make a portable handheld filter of this quality :) The ONLY negative I've found that isn't worth losing a star is that it's not easy to fill water bottles. I literally pour into a cup and then from a cup into a bottle. I do this to stock the fridge and keep the jug full.
