I also had a problem with the replacement bulb remaining in the socket because the new bulb was too small. Fortunately, the "wires" on the replacement bulbs are long enough to fit easily into the original plastic socket. Now my problem is that while the replacement bulbs are good, they burned my entire circuit. Apparently I got the voltage wrong?
