Bought these for our 30 lb Lucy Sheltie and Retriever mix to wear inside my parents new house to avoid scratching the hardwood floors. Before we went to see her, we asked Lucy to carry her for a few walks in the area. It took her a few times to put them on to get used to it and I'm not sure she ever really did. I can tell you that we rolled on the floor laughing the first time we put it on as it quickly "walked up" the whole living room. It was the cutest thing! They landed on their feet fairly easily (just look at the dewclaw when you put them on) and the two straps REALLY kept them on their dainty paws. The rubber bottoms are very durable and I can see her walking comfortably in snow, mud and gravel. In the end we found that she would get along just fine in my parents' house without boots, her claws were short enough not to scratch the floor at all. Still, a good product to have on hand if we ever get caught in a big snow storm here in central North Carolina!
