Review on 🚗 Dorman 42950 Front Driver Side Black Windshield Wiper Arm - Compatible with Select Volvo Models by Ben Daugherty

It came quickly. I need to replace the known issue of striped driver's side wipers due to the age of my '96 Volvo 850 GLT sedan. It fell right on the driver's side windshield wiper bolt. Well raised. Now the wipers work better than ever. No more stripes. It wasn't "Dorman brand" or at least it wasn't labeled as such on the box. But well done, no problem! :) Keep in mind that for some reason the wiper arm isn't splined, it's aluminum. Be sure to clean the wedges on the wiper arm stud it is attached to to remove any aluminum left inside from the previous wiper arm. Align position and press straight ahead firmly. Then slowly tighten the nut until the wiper arm is fully seated on the stud. This allows the hardened steel wiper arm bolt to be inserted into the wiper arm for a tight fit. It also prevents the wiper arm from tearing off the wiper pin as the softer arm will detach first to prevent a much more difficult and expensive repair involving replacing the entire wiper gear. Fairly expensive wiper arm, but well made and worth the money.
