I grew up in a family of German origin. My grandmother used to make homemade spaetzle every Thanksgiving and other days by making a dough of flour, eggs and water on an old cutting board with water and scraping into boiling water at over 100 pieces a minute. It was incredible to see. Easy, quick and it keeps your arms toned! Fast forward to today, my mom makes spaetzle with one of those Kull spaetzle presses. Now it's even easier. While you can get other brands cheaper, which is why I'm only giving it 4 stars, it's easy to clean and the enameled versions are dishwasher safe, although mom just soaks them in the sink and scrubs them off.
