Great stuff. They really help reduce wind and trap heat. I chose the medium size as I wanted to wear winter cycling gloves and they worked great on my hybrid bike. The velcro system is a little flimsy, hence a star for that. But for the functionality and the price, these things were a worthwhile investment and, together with cheap ski goggles, made winter cycling quite easy. And as long as these things work, don't expect miracles. I've found my hands naturally warm up after about 30 minutes of cycling in cold weather. If your hands are only moderately cold when driving in winter, this can help. I wear full finger gloves in 55 degree weather and I would definitely wear bar gloves in 35-40 degree weather. If that gives you a reference temperature range to work with. The Extreme version is also a bit easier to assemble thanks to special plugs on the ends of the bar compared to the internal velcro straps in the basic version. You will immediately. It's best to consider buying the Extreme version right away, especially if you tend to get cold hands when cycling in winter.
